Jack Rickwood

After being bought up on Soul Music, I got introduced to soul music events in 2019. I went to Villas Brazil and thought this is a bit of me, the music and crowd were amazing and made me feel welcomed right off the bat.

 

My Dad, Simon, bought some decks during COVID lockdown, I decided to give it a go and thoroughly enjoyed it. With a little bit of practice and dedication, in March 2022, Mr Makepeace let me have a little spin at one of his events and I walked away with the bug. 

 

I also DJ regularly alongside my dad, Simon “Can’t Mix” Rickwood at our Local Deck 79 events and have been wanting to DJ and make others happy ever since.

 

My knowledge and appetite has grown and l look forward to presenting alongside the fantastic DJs at Soul Groove Radio.
