My love and passion for soul music started in my late teens, listening to Horizon Radio and Radio London. I got my opportunity to become a DJ in the early 80’s, mainly doing friends parties and charity events for the local Fire Station.

I finally got my big break when I was asked to become a resident Thursday night DJ in a local wine bar and was lucky enough to DJ on a night when several Sun newspaper page 3 girls came in.

I spent many hours trawling through vinyl at my local record shop, Trumps and many weekends in London going through new music in Groove records. I was lucky enough to meet the late great Steve Walsh at a nightclub in North London one Sunday, he invited me into the DJ booth and was more than happy to share his knowledge and advice.

I continued to DJ well into the 90’s, before taking a break whilst living in Bristol at the time music was drastically changing. However, my love for all things soul music has never wandered.
In the early 2000’s I became one of the resident DJ’s in a nightspot in Epping, where I was asked if I was interested in joining the Caister Soul Weekend line-up!

I am now lucky enough to be playing the music I love on the airwaves, where I like to blend the classics with rare groove besides and album tracks, there are so many great choons out there, that get little or no airplay.
