Hello Soul Funkateers,

Music has been a passion of mine for many years and it is great to be able to share this with like minded people. For me it’s all about the feeling when the beat or vocal drops, the saying is true “one good thing about music, when it hits you, you feel no pain”

Since a young boy soul music has always been a massive part of my life, while my friends were buying football stickers I was spending my pocket money at the market stall buying records. I would like to thank my dad for passing on his passion and love for jazz funk, soul, disco and boogie, first hearing The Riff of “Rock creek park” (Blackbyrds) and the bass line of “Bus Stop” (Fatback) I have never looked back or forgotten that. 

A few of my favourite artists which you will hear in my shows include the voice of silk Luther Vandross, The Chi-Lites and not forgetting Donny Hathaway.

The ‘Check Out The Groove’ show is all about the Soul Family Coming Together and enjoying the music we love, you can join me on Tuesday from 6pm to 8pm
