teens, listening to Horizon Radio and Radio London. I got my opportunity to become a DJ in the early 80\u2019s, mainly doing friends parties and charity events for the local Fire Station.<\/p><p>I finally got my big break when I was asked to become a resident Thursday night DJ in a local wine bar and was lucky enough to DJ on a night when several Sun newspaper page 3 girls came in.<\/p><p>I spent many hours trawling through vinyl at my local record shop, Trumps and many weekends in London going through new music in Groove records. I was lucky enough to meet the late great Steve Walsh at a nightclub in North London one Sunday, he invited me into the DJ booth and was more than happy to share his knowledge and advice.<\/p><p>I continued to DJ well into the 90\u2019s, before taking a break whilst living in Bristol at the time music was drastically changing.
