part of Soul Groove Radio &#8211;<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>an internet station I have been listening to and collaborating with since 2018..<\/b><\/p><p class=\"p1\"><b>I was born in Georgetown, Guyana of mixed heritage \u2013 Guyanese, Chinese, Indian and Portuguese, though when I was 3 years of age, moved to England to join my stepfather who was in the British Army and from East London, as well as my Mother and two sisters.<\/b><\/p><p class=\"p1\"><b>My Mother\u2019s side of the family are Guyanese and I have memories as a child of endless parties with James Brown blasting out of the stereo player, accompanied with lots of dancing!<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>Also \u2013 as a youngster, the Trojan sound was played constantly \u2013 Ska and of course Reggae &#8211; so I fell in love with this music way back then.<\/b><\/p><p class=\"p1\"><b>Much later in life \u2013 I met and became romantically involved with the late DJ Tony Williams \u2013 whom I had listened to on Radio London since a teenager. <span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>Tony had come from Jamaica and presented a reggae show every Sunday lunchtime for 10 years &#8211; to millions of listeners.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>Of course, he was a great influence to me and revitalised my love of reggae as I spent many hours helping out in his studio in Balham, South London.<\/b><\/p><p class=\"p1\"><b>Tony was the Father of my only child and unexpectedly passed away in 2018.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>It then became my mission to present my own radio show and carry on his work \u2013 bringing reggae to the airwaves.<\/b><\/p><p class=\"p1\"><b>I am so thrilled to have achieved this and every Sunday, I enjoy presenting my show \u2013<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>through a variety of<\/b><b>features, demonstrating just how wide <\/b><b>the genre of Reggae truly is \u2013 with a special <\/b><b>emphasis on Lovers Rock.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0
