overjoyed to bring you \u201cTimeless Tunes with Kim Tavares\u201d<\/p><p>This is an opportunity for me to share some of my musical influences from the 60\u2019, 70\u2019s and 80\u2019s. That era has shaped the way I write\/record and perform my original tracks.<\/p><p>I am a lover of music, especially good lyrics that tell a story! Having spent over thirty years in the music business, I\u2019m no stranger to spending countless hours in recording studios, performing at venues in and around New England, Pittsburgh and Canada. In 2022, I performed two nights at The Jazz Cafe in London, where I was the opening act for Dexter Wansel.<\/p><p>Becoming a \u201cRadio Presenter\u201d has always been one of my dreams and now I\u2019m adding that title to my already busy schedule. I\u2019m currently in my 22nd year as a Boston Police Officer and hope to retire sometime in 2024 to pursue my music career full time.<\/p><p>My\u00a0singer\/songwriter\u00a0name\u00a0is\u00a0\u201cKim\u00a0Tavar\u201d<br \/>and I released my self-written debut album \u201cMy Story\u201d in March of 2021, which included some, memorable UK Chart topping hits including \u201cIsaiah\u201d, \u201c1+1 Don\u2019t=3\u201d \u201cTime Won\u2019t Wait\u201d. \u00a0My second album, \u201cThe Next Stage\u201d was released in May of 2023 and definitely brings forth a nostalgic vibe with smooth heart felt R&amp;B ballads, funky 80\u2019s\/90\u2019s style mid-temp &amp; up-tempo dance tracks that highlight my vocal range and clever songwriting skills. All songs were written by me with the exception of a well thought out re-make of the late Karin Jones\u2019, 1982, rare groove track titled \u201cLast Night\u201d. \u00a0I made sure to keep the original integrity of the song by not \u201cover singing\u201d but just adding the right touch of background\/adlibs \u00a0while keeping the song fresh.<\/p><p>I also dibble and dabble as an actress and I\u2019m a member of the Screen Actors Guild \u2013 American Federation of Television and Radio Artists.
